Web sites are becoming increasingly more important to businesses. Consumers rely upon web sites to gather information about a company's products and services. The popular expression 'just Google it' seems to be the answer to finding any business or services nowadays. Everyone is on the web - and if you want your business to succeed, it must be on the web also.

The web site that represents your company should provide potential customers with the right information and the right impression. What 'impression' does a web site make? The same first impression as a store front or location. Many times a business with superior quality products does not succeed because the store lacks visual appeal. A location in a less than perfect part of town or in a out-dated building may keep consumers at bay.

The same rules that apply in the physical world apply in the online world. You need a web site that meets your customers' informational needs as well as one that makes them feel your business is worthy of their patronage. A well designed web site portrays a snap shot of your business from the moment it is loaded and conveys a distinct impression. Does the site look too simple or too complicated, cheap or was it over-designed, is it difficult to use or too simple in design? What will a current or potential customer feel when they see the first screen? Will they find the information they need, and perhaps additional information that they did not realize they need? If they are impressed with your web site, then they will be impressed with your business.
